Thirty five students from Haynes Academy and Patrick Taylor Science and Technology Academy, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, attended the 195th reenactment of the Battle of New Orleans at Chalmette Battlefield. The students braved 12 degree windchill, on their last day of winter break, to learn about Louisiana history and cover events at the battlefield. The iReporters interviewed living history experts and reported on events using digital photography, video, blogging, and Skype. The students Skyped with other students in Louisiana and Ohio, and teachers at Haynes Academy.
